Building on your own terms is hard enough, but doing it alone is even harder.
After my last post, I had an interesting conversation with a friend who is also considering building on his own terms but was finding it difficult to do so by himself without any support.
He shared an interesting idea: a mastermind group.
A mastermind group is collection of like-minded folks that meet with a regular cadence (bi-weekly or monthly) either online or in-person around a common topic, primarily for accountability, inspiration, and support.
As my partner in academia says, its kind of like a lab group meeting.
That got me thinking. If you're currently building on your own terms or interested to start a business without immediately going down the traditional venture path, the reality is we could get much farther if we work together.
